Whenever I clean them later with Windex, the doors look dull and streaky. so I'm looking for do-it-later ideas.

Thank you so much

I use white vinegar and water. It won't disinfect, but it gets the shower doors nice and clean.

IMO Nobody who is a caregiver should be spending precious mental or physical energy on sparking shower doors.

Windex is good for some things but its not a scum remover. If u want something that cleans fast use Comet Bathroom cleaner. Spray on and let it sit a few seconds before wiping off. I buy it in Walmart, cheapest price. I have been using it for years. On fiberglass and now the new plastic stuff. I gave my daughter a bottle. She said it took her husbands grease off the tub immediately. Nothing else ever worked for her.

Yep JoAnn is correct. There are specific products for this. If it’s not mold she won’t have to use any toxic substance.
I myself use Comet Erasers for this and it works very well.

Spray them again with the shower head, then use a microfibre window cloth. If they've somehow got smothered in soap, shampoo or hair conditioner and really have fully dried, use a bit of bathroom-specific cream cleanser first, then rinse with the shower head before drying with the cloth.

How much much later, though? I do my glass shower screen after each shower and I've got it down to about twenty seconds; so as long as you're not more than, say, ten minutes behind her just the cloth should be fine for daily maintenance.

The best bathroom cleaner I have ever used, bar none, 1 part dawn to 3 parts white vinegar. Mix in a spray bottle, spray on and leave for 30 minutes, rinse clean, if there is some build up, leave it on over night and wipe down with a scrubby sponge or brush and watch the build up disappear with hardly any elbow grease.

Can mom spray a daily dose of white vinegar on the doors? That will keep them clean between cleanings and stop water spots.

Use 000 or 0000 extra fine steel wool (dry) to remove soap scum without scratching glass shower doors.

If you are going to use toxic chemicals, be sure you prepare the room with enough ventilation and a strong fan.

Keep in mind that you and Mom still need to breathe, and not risk lung damage. (This advice is coming from a chlorine bleach user in the past).

Use 0000 steel wool, not 000.
Use it wet...google it online for directions.
