If it was only saying I don't want you, probably acknowledge that she doesn't want a caregiver. If it was a battle to do what you need to do or if she is verbally attacking you, then I would speak with whomever hired you and tell them that the situation doesn't appear to be working, you should never take physical or personal abuse.

So, is it an old lady running her mouth?

Or

A vicious attack every time you show your face, with abuse?

Being a caregiver requires having very thick skin and selective hearing. Being cared for is not comfortable for many people and they lash out in an attempt to change their circumstances, which we know isn't possible but, they think it is.

Is the lady in the hospital, then she can ask for another aid and she is a patient.

Is the woman in a NH or AL? If so you talk to your supervisor. The lady has a right not to have you caring for her. In a NH and AL they are residents not patients because the NH is now their home. (This was explained to me by my daughter)

If ur in her home or a families members home she is now a client. As such, she can let u go or the person who hired you. If working for an agency, talk to ur supervisor.
