Every AL near me has a beauty shop on site. Without that service, I would ask my own hair stylist if he/she could come or recommended someone who would do that. Ask around.

The AL doesn't have an onsite beauty shop? Have you asked the management if they are aware of any visiting stylists who service others?

The AL probably has an arrangement with a beauty shop or a stylist. Ask the billing office how others do this. Could be there’s a van once a week that goes to the salon or stylist comes over twice a week.

Between my mom & mil, we’ve dealt with 7 facilities from IL to NH, all had on premises beauty shoppe. Most of the ladies had standing appointments.

I realized not everyone has either the time or location to drive someone to the hair salon they had been using for decades.

My Dad used the hair salon at his senior living center, and wasn't a happy camper, he never went back. He didn't like the cut, and he also said the tiny salon was too noisy with a lot of women talking. So Dad's personal caregiver would drive him over to his regular barber anytime Dad thought his hair was looking like Dagwoods :)

With Mom the AL had a salon with a woman who came in once a week. The NH had a salon and stylist but would allow resident's stylist to use the facility.
