DH got call from med office regarding his upcoming appointment with this MD saying to please call as he needs to see another care provider. We're upset as he's a very warm, caring, truly concerned physician. Last year we moved 1700 miles to another state thus making it necessary to establish ourselves with new docs. Approx 3 weeks after move, I developed a very painful ear infection..had to make an appointment at an urgent care center that happens to be part of a clinic of a large hospital network. Lucky for me, the care provider who examined me was this doctor. I proceeded to set my upcoming annual exam with him, so did my husband. If we could find out where he is practicing now, providing it's not very far, we would follow him. The med office would just say "he left the practice". Thanks for letting me rant.
I am wonder if you sent a letter to the doctor the office would forward a letter to him. Or the doctor may have filled out a forwarding address form.
I feel your frustration I have had this happen and it not a good feeling to have to learn to trust someone and have them get to know you. It takes time.
Maybe..just maybe the next doctor will be just as nice if you can not follow the other one.
