Sorry for your situation. Coping with spending too much time together is very difficult. The only solution I can think of is to hire some help and get away from your partner for at least a few hours a few times a week. You don't need to be a prisoner to the person that needs things done for them.

Best of luck.

Welcome ,

I’m sorry you seem to be struggling .
Is your partner not well enough to leave the house?
Do you have any breaks where you can go out ? Perhaps a volunteer or hired companion or aide to come to the home and stay with your partner if he or she is not able to stay home alone?

If you are willing to give more information perhaps you will receive more helpful suggestions.

As in ALL relationships, too much together time is not good nor is it healthy. It's important that both parties have some "me" time to do whatever it is they enjoy.
I know you say that your partner is in poor health, but it's still very important that you're taking time away to do the things that bring you joy. If that means hiring a caregiver in a few days a week so you can get away for a few hours, so be it.
Check with your local Senior Center as well as they usually have volunteers that will come out a few hours to sit with your loved one.
Please don't forget that you matter in this equation too, and it's so very important that you're taking time away to refresh your soul so that you can continue on this journey with your partner.
May God bless you and keep you.

By partner do u mean spouse or Boyfriend. If BF, if he is low income you may be able to get an aide thru Office of Aging or Medicaid. If married you may too but both ur incomes are used.
