Is this related to his liver transplant? I would have hoped he'd be doing well by now!! Please come back and elaborate on the situation, OK?

MAYDAY Jun 14, 2024
Midkid, please accept my apology. I feel like my mind is in a rooker coaster.. the ups and downs if emotions. We didn’t get the liver.. he passed . My friend found me the much needed support for him to be comfortable in hospice at home.. I tried, and I was screwing up.thus man comes in, takes over and hubby looked peaceful, I was laying near him in the couch. I heard his last breath... 4,days after his service, one of his friends died of heart attack.
I have another friend whose husband has had a brain injury, and he is getting aphasia, and he seems cognitive enough, until he is not. My brother was about the same way. She feels guilty about placing him. It’s a tough decision. She is planning to mover closer to her kids and hopeful they can give her and their dad the much needed support, or the Pom poms saying, it’s ok! We’re behind you, and as a family we go together and visit dad..
thank for getting back to me so quickly.
I told her it’s too much for her to do this alone. She’s feeling bad about going to move near kids and possibly placing him.. it’s so much better if you have a tag team and family..

Time then to either hire more in-home help for him or have him placed in the appropriate facility.
Caregiving is the hardest thing we will ever do and then you add dementia on top of it and it is off the charts.
Please take care of yourself and do now what is best for the both of you.
God bless you.

Look into hiring additional help, or consider placement in a facility.

You have been a long time poster on this forum and have offered help to many posters. I am glad to see that you are reaching out for help, when you need it.

Time for an Elder Lawyer to discuss splitting of marital assets. Husbands split going towards his care and when almost gone, Medicaid applied for.
